Charlie was born on April 8, 2009. He was born to a private breeder and donated to Canine Support Teams at 4 months old. He came to Oregon from Southern California to begin his training to be a service dog. He was the very first program dog Canine Support Teams had in Oregon. Charlie is a character, full of energy and very adventurous although he has his scaredy cat moments, he loves to go and knows when it's time to work. Charlie was our first experience with a doodle. It was really hard to bond with him and we still haven't bonded very well, but I love him and he will take a piece of my heart with him when he returns for formal training on 10/23/10. We know where ever Charlie ends up, he will be well loved and provide a lot of smiles to his new family. Charlie is currently in the Prison Pup Program to continue his training. It was felt that the 24/7 devoted attention the prisoners could give Charlie would be best for his continued training.
Charlie graduated as a working service dog on April 15, 2011. He is now working for a veteran. So proud of the spaz-a-doodle!
