Iverson was our first puppy to raise for Guide Dogs for the Blind, Inc. He was born on 2/5/05 and arrived to us on 3/31/05. The first night he was home he showed us what a wild ride we were in for as he peed right in front of our Mom on her carpet. Iverson is the son of Kentucky and Comet, both yellow labs that are breeders for GDB. Iverson was transferred at 14 months old since I moved out and couldn't take him with me and my twin sister and co-raiser, Ally, was working with elephants and going to high school and couldn't continue raising him. He returned to GDB for formal training on August 11, 2006 and after almost 6 months in formal training, he graduated as a working guide dog two days before his 2nd birthday. Him and his partner are perfect for each other and although we haven't heard from them since graduation, we are sure that they are doing great together in Sacramento, CA and are loving life. Iverson will always be my first and he will always be special to me! Love you Ivey!
